Standard Child Care First Aid with CPR Level C or HCP and AED
A comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills with a focus on childhood injuries and illnesses. Designed for those in the early childhood education industry or those who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies involving children and babies.
This course is for people who must know the all content of basic first aid for child care, how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, for home or the workplace. Course Content is based on the CPR Level chosen.

CPR/AED training (C or HCP)
Preparing to respond
The EMS system
Airway/Breathing/Circulation emergencies (C or HCP)
First aid for respiratory/cardiac arrest (C or HCP)
Keeping children safe
Approximate Course Length: 16-20 hours (2 day course)
Approximate Course Length for recertification course: 8-9 hours (recertification may not be recognized by some provincial child care legislations, in which case the entire course has to be retaken)
Students must pass a written exam and skills test in order to qualify for an Standard Child Care First Aid/CPR certification card.
