Jarrett and his team have made something truly special with Delta. Not only was it hands down the best first aid course I’ve ever taken, they go above and beyond to put you in the mindset of an actual responder. The level to which they go to ensure everyone was comfortable and proficient in areas they were struggling in was way more than I’ve ever seen. All of the instructors were professionals and made sure you were ready to take on the job we each were planning on doing. If you want to be able to actually use the skills you are learning, go with Delta.

“Being trained by Delta instructors, was awesome! I've taken my AFA previously, and I got so much more from it this time. Delta's instructors are current firefighters/paramedics that have 1st hand knowledge and experience with what they are teaching. I enjoyed every bit of time spent with Jarrett and Stephen! Any future course I take, will be with them🤗 thanks for the great experience guys!”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I have taken many first aid & CPR courses, this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. Mike, Jarrett & Steve were all great instructors! Explained all aspects of the course clearly. Discussions took us beyond the textbook and a glimpse into real life scenarios and experiences. The hybrid option allowed for me to do the course without having to take time off work or alter my schedule which was a huge bonus! Beyond the incredible instructors and experience, our “in-person” location was so cool! Coffee and treats provided as a nice bonus too ;)
I cannot recommend this company enough!”

“Delta Emergency exceeded my expectations. The information was incredibly applicable—not just for passing the AFA certification, but for real-life emergency situations. The scenarios were realistic, engaging, and really helped solidify the learning. It felt like more than just a course; it was genuine preparation for responding confidently in the real world. Highly recommend Delta Emergency to anyone looking for high-quality, practical first aid training”

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. Delta Emergency Support Training delivers Canadian Red Cross courses, and students who successfully complete eligible courses receive the applicable Canadian Red Cross certification, not a Delta-only certificate.

For Alberta workplace first aid and Occupational Health and Safety requirements, the approved training agency is the Canadian Red Cross. Delta Emergency delivers Red Cross courses as a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner, which is why Delta Emergency may not appear as a separate line item on Alberta’s approved first aid agency list. Alberta’s first aid training page lists approved first aid training agencies and certificate verification information.

Different employers, schools, licensing bodies, fire departments, and application processes may require different certification levels, such as Emergency First Aid, Standard First Aid, Advanced First Aid, BLS, or EMR. Delta Emergency offers multiple Red Cross certification pathways, but students should confirm the exact course required before registering.

  • A Canadian Red Cross Training Partner is an approved organization that delivers Red Cross training through the Red Cross training and certification system.

Delta Emergency is not the Canadian Red Cross itself. We are a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner, which means we provide the instructors, classroom delivery, equipment, evaluations, course administration, and student support while delivering approved Red Cross programs.

This is not unusual. This is how Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR training is delivered across Canada. Red Cross courses are delivered through a network of Training Partners, including businesses, community organizations, municipalities, corporations, and other approved providers.

When you take an eligible Red Cross course through Delta Emergency and successfully complete the course requirements, your certificate is issued as a Canadian Red Cross certification.

  • Delta Emergency offers public courses in Calgary and Leduc.

Calgary is our primary training location. Leduc supports students in the Edmonton region. Private onsite training is also available across Alberta and beyond for workplaces, organizations, fire departments, municipalities, industrial teams, First Nations communities, clinics, camps, and private groups.

  • Yes. AED training is included in Canadian Red Cross first aid and CPR courses where applicable.

Students learn how to recognize emergencies, perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator as part of their course training. Many workplaces ask for “CPR and AED training,” and those skills are built into eligible Canadian Red Cross first aid and CPR courses.

  • Possibly. It depends on the course type, group size, location, instructor availability, equipment requirements, and how quickly certification is needed.

Less-than-one-day courses and recertifications are usually easier to accommodate. Multi-day responder courses, advanced recertifications, or larger private groups are more difficult to arrange on short notice because they require more instructor time, equipment planning, scheduling changes, and sometimes overtime or travel.

Urgent private training may still be possible at one of our training locations or at your workplace or site, but short-notice delivery is a premium private service.

  • Yes. Delta Emergency provides private onsite first aid, CPR, Advanced First Aid, BLS, oxygen, airway, and responder training for organizations across Alberta and beyond.

Onsite training is a strong option for workplaces or groups that need private scheduling, staff training, location-specific planning, or training delivered at their own site. We work with companies, municipalities, fire departments, industrial sites, First Nations communities, clinics, camps, and private organizations.

Delta Emergency has delivered training for fire departments, municipalities, First Nations communities, remote worksites, industrial teams, camps, and private groups. Our instructors have flown to other provinces, driven across northern Alberta, and travelled to locations including Saskatchewan First Nations communities and BC municipal sites.

We can provide onsite training for workplaces, youth groups, summer camps, mining operations, forestry, oilfield, wildfire teams, clinics, fire departments, municipalities, and almost any group that needs practical first aid or responder training.

If your team needs training, Delta Emergency can come to you with instructors, equipment, and certification support. Travel-based delivery, remote locations, and custom scheduling are quoted as premium private training services.

  • Certificates are issued after successful course completion, including all required attendance, skills, evaluations, and program requirements.

Most eligible Canadian Red Cross certificates are processed digitally within 72 hours after the course is complete. Certificates may be processed sooner when possible, and urgent certificate processing can sometimes be completed in under 6 hours by special request when there is a confirmed need, such as an application deadline, next-day work requirement, school requirement, healthcare credential requirement, or expiring certification.

Timing can vary depending on the course, instructor processing, course records, and Red Cross certification systems. Students must use the correct name and email address during registration because certificates are issued through the student profile connected to the course.

If you need your certificate urgently, contact Delta Emergency before or during your course so we can review whether expedited processing is possible.

  • Payment plans may be available for select programs or higher-cost courses.

Payment plans are intended to help students start training while spreading out the cost, but they are still a financial commitment. Payment plan registrations may be non-refundable, and certificates may not be issued until the full balance has been paid.

If a student withdraws, does not complete the course, or is unsuccessful, the remaining balance may still be owed according to the payment plan terms agreed to at registration.

  • Course registrations are subject to Delta Emergency’s cancellation, transfer, and attendance policies.

Refunds may be available when cancellation is requested more than 14 days before the course start date, less applicable processing fees and any course-specific deductions. Refunds are not available within 14 days of the course start date.

Transfers may be available before the refund window closes and are subject to course availability. Transfers requested within 14 days are discretionary, may not be approved, and become non-refundable if accepted. A transfer does not restart or extend the original refund window.

No-shows, late arrivals, missed course time, incomplete attendance, or failure to meet course requirements are not refundable. Certification is not guaranteed and is only issued after all required attendance, skills, evaluations, online learning, and program requirements are successfully completed.

  • No. Delta Emergency does not teach or practice direct mouth-to-mouth contact between students in class.

CPR and rescue-breathing skills are taught using manikins, training equipment, and barrier devices where required. Delta Emergency also includes a hard-shell CPR pocket mask for students to train with and keep in eligible CPR/AED, Emergency First Aid, Standard First Aid, Child Care Emergency First Aid, and Child Care Standard First Aid courses.

This gives students a practical barrier device they can keep for personal, workplace, or family emergencies.

  • Yes. First aid and CPR training is physical.

Students should expect hands-on practice, including CPR skill practice on manikins, kneeling, bending, standing, moving around the classroom, bandaging, recovery position practice, and scenario-based activities. Some courses are more physically demanding than others, especially Advanced First Aid, BLS, and professional responder courses.

Delta Emergency can make reasonable adjustments where possible, but students still need to meet the required course skills, attendance, and evaluation standards to receive certification. If you have an injury, mobility concern, medical limitation, pregnancy-related concern, or accessibility need, contact us before class so we can review what adjustments may be possible.

  • No. Delta Emergency Support Training is a Canadian medical training company and is not affiliated with Delta Air Lines.

We provide first aid, CPR, Advanced First Aid, BLS, oxygen, airway, and responder training. We cannot help with flights, baggage, airline reservations, airport emergencies, or Delta Air Lines customer service issues.
